Dialysis Center
Dialysis is a method of purifying the blood and performing other functions of the kidneys for patients with chronic kidney disease (whose kidneys have failed). Holy Name Medical Center's Regional Dialysis Center - one of the largest in the nation to be based at a community Medical Center - meets or exceeds all clinical standards set forth by the Trans-Atlantic Renal Council and enjoys a high level of patient satisfaction. The program is modeled after the Life Options Rehabilitation Advisory Council's "Five Es."
Because the Regional Dialysis Center is located within the Medical Center, patients have easy access to a full range of emergency services, ancillary services and medical specialists should the need arise. With 37 stations for acute and chronic hemodialysis, the Regional Dialysis Center also has facilities for self-care hemodialysis. The center welcomes traveling and transient patients, whose dialysis care can be arranged by calling 201-833-3225.
